When creating an account on Kickr, you would have been asked to make your profile public or private. Both profile types have the same features and functionality; neither option has advantages or disadvantages:
- If you choose a private profile, we will hide your display name across Kickr. It will still be visible to you but will be masked to everyone else.
- If you choose a public profile, your display name will be displayed on all the fun stuff, leaderboards, leagues, races, our big wins feed and other social features.
We've made it easy to switch between profile types. You can switch between public and private on your profile page (under the Profile section of Kickr).
Please note that there may be cases where we cannot retroactively hide your display name after having had a public account.
